A native of St. Louis, Mo., Pete was first published at age 15. His professional writing career began as a Sports Writer for the Sports Information Department at the University of Missouri. From 1987 to 1990, he wrote countless feature articles, game summaries, press releases, and interviews with athletes that were featured in game day programs.

Following graduation in 1991, he became a Correspondent with the St. Louis Suburban Journal Newspaper where he covered high school sporting events and wrote feature articles on high school athletes and political figures. During this time, Pete also wrote freelance articles for St. Louis Magazine and Mid-Missouri Magazine. His career then took a turn towards the hospitality industry when he joined Maritz Travel Company in 1993. As a Tour Director with Maritz, he traveled to over 30 countries and lived in hotels throughout the world for three years while leading corporate groups on incentive-based travel programs.

In 1995, Pete was offered a unique opportunity to join the Atlanta Committee for Olympic Games (ACOG) as a Project Manager. During this time, he was instrumental in developing and managing multiple Information Kiosks that were located throughout the city. He also wrote an informational brochure that was sent to thousands of athletes and sponsors throughout the world in anticipation of the 1996 Olympic Games. In the late 1990s, Pete moved back to St. Louis to join Contemporary Productions as a Project Manager. There he served in multiple capacities as a Booking Agent, Event Producer, and Publicist focusing on the strategic promotion and implementation of special events and music festivals. His career then took him to a corporate communications company, Creative Producers Group, where he served as a Producer and Writer.

In 2001, Pete packed up his belongings and ventured out west where he landed a position at InVision Communications - a corporate communications agency based in Walnut Creek, Ca. During his time with InVision, Pete produced business meetings, special events, digital media projects, and corporate videos. He was also a prolific writer of event proposals, case studies, website content, video scripts, and marketing brochures. In addition to his project management and writing duties, he was instrumental in establishing formats for creative brainstorming meetings that revitalized the company. In 2004, Pete combined his writing skills and strategic marketing experience to become a successful Freelance Copywriter in the San Francisco Bay Area.
